International Convention on World Homoeopathy Day

WHAT

A two day convention is being organised on 9-10th April 2019 by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) on the occasion of the World Homoeopathy Day.

  • The World Homoeopathy Day (WHD) is observed every year on April 10.

THEME: ‘Linking research with education and clinical practice: Advancing scientific collaborations’.

 

HOMEOPATHY

  • Homoeopathy is one of the most popular medical systems in India, in fact, a close second among the AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) services.
  • There are growing numbers of users, practitioners, educational institutes, as well as public health clinics, compared to the AYUSH systems in India.
  • Homeopathy as a system of medicine was developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in Germany in 1796. Now it is one of the major forms of treatment, adopted by most of the doctors of the world.
  • It is an alternative to the standard medicine system and it is second most widely used system of treatment.
  • This system of medicine uses a unique way of treatment by stimulating body’s own healing power. It is an alternative to the standard medicine system. The entire concept of this system of treatment is different to the other conventional forms of medicines.

 

WORLD HOMEOPATHY DAY

WHD is celebrated to commemorate the Birthday of Dr. Hahnemann, the Founder and father of Homoeopathy. 

  • Homeopathic medicines are made from a variety of sources, such as plants, animals and minerals. They are prepared according to guidelines set out in international pharmacopoeias. Homeopathic medicines are considered safe and free from serious adverse reactions.

 

CCRH

Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy is an autonomous research organisation, Ministry of AYUSH.

 

OCCASION AIM

With an aim to recognise exemplary work in Homoeopathy, AYUSH awards relating to Homoeopathy for Life Time Achievement, Best Teacher, Young Scientist and Best Research paper will be conferred on this occasion.

 

MoU

  • MOU’s will be signed with two more PG Homoeopathic Colleges with an effort to link education with research.
  • The vision behind the agreement would be to provide impetus to research infrastructure, which, in turn further orient the students towards research.
