Ex Al Nagah 2019

WHAT

Indo-Oman joint Exercise Al Nagah III 2019 is a joint military exercise between Indian and Royal Army of Oman (RAO).

  • Both armies enhance their tactical and technical skills in joint counter insurgency and counter terrorist operations in semi-urban scenario in mountainous terrain under UN mandate.
  • Both sides will jointly train, plan and execute a series of well-developed tactical drills.
  • Two-week-long event.

BACKGROUND

  • The first edition of the exercise was held at Muscat, Oman in 2015.
  • The second edition of the exercise was held at Dhauladhar Ranges in Bakloh belt of Himachal Pradesh in 2017.

World Kidney Day

WHAT

World Kidney day was celebrated at AHRR, Dhaula Kaun, New Delhi, on 13th March 2019.

The event begin from “Walkathon” by kidney transplant patients, inspirational talks, plays, and melodic show, featuring different parts of the life of a kidney disease patient and the positive contrast a kidney transplant can make in his life.

World Kidney Day is a global awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys.

World Kidney Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide.

Cabinet approves Promulgation

WHAT

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved Promulgation of the Daman and Diu Civil Courts (Amendment) Regulation, 2019 and the Dadra and Nagar Haveli (Civil Courts and Miscellaneous Provisions)Amendment Regulation, 2019 under Article 240 of the Constitution.

BENEFITS

  • It will be helpful in bringing uniformity in Judicial Service.
  • It will overcome the difficulties being faced by the litigants in travelling to Mumbai for filing appeals due to existing limited pecuniary jurisdiction.
  • It will accelerate the justice delivery system.
