WHAT
India piloted resolutions on two important global environment issues relating to Single-use Plastics and Sustainable Nitrogen management.
- The resolution took at the fourth session of United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA).
- The session was held in Nairobi from 11th to 15th March 2019.
INDIA HOSTED A SESSION ON “GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP”: key to “Unlocking Resource Efficiency and Inclusive Green Economies”.

FACTS
- The worldwide nitrogen use proficiency is low, resulting in pollution by reactive nitrogen which compromises human well-being, eco system, contributes to environmental change and stratospheric ozone depletion.
- Plastic damaging the environment and aquatic bio-diversity.
