Naval Commanders’ Conference Concludes

WHAT

The first edition of this years’ bi-annual Naval Commanders’ Conference concluded successfully on 25 April 2019.

The Hon’ble Raksha Mantri (Mrs.Nirmala Seetharaman) addressed Naval Commanders on 23 Apr 19 and complimented the Indian Navy for maintaining a high operational tempo and its ability to safeguard India’s interest in the maritime domain.

She appreciated Navy’s efforts in the area of indigenisation, self-reliance and support to the ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government.

During the interaction, she reviewed the combat readiness, pace of modernisation and progress of various acquisition and infrastructure related cases.

The next edition of Naval Commanders’ Conference is scheduled in Oct/ Nov later this year.
