Odisha to conserve Chilika and Anusupa lakes – Diligent IAS

CHILIKA AND ANUSUPA LAKES   The Odisha Wetland Authority recently approved the implementation of an integrated management plan for Chilika and Ansupa. Chilika: country’s largest brackish water lagoon. Anusupa: State’s largest freshwater lake. The five-year management of lakes is intended at strengthening livelihood of thousands of fishermen relying on the two water-bodies.
