The ninth edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit was held in The Hague, with a number of entrepreneurs from across the world, including 33 from India, gathering to share their insights and showcase their ideas on a world stage.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2019 was hosted by the governments of the United States of America and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and is the first edition of the event to be held in the European Union.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2019, ‘The Future Now,’ offers an unparalleled stage for scale-ups, allowing outstanding entrepreneurs to interact with a select group of decision makers, including investors, policymakers, founders, funders, and experts.

The last GES was held in India in November 2017 in Hyderabad where more than 1500 entrepreneurs from around the world take part with focused more on the issues of ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’.

 

 

Highlights

  • The key focus areas of the summit include the five global challenges surrounding water, agriculture, healthcare, connectivity, and energy.
  • More than 1200 entrepreneurs from across 140 countries took part in the event. These entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and work to 300 investors.
  • Thirty three Indian firms are taking part in GES 2019 across the subject areas of agriculture, water, energy, healthcare, and connectivity.
